FAQ
Please read the following Frequently Asked Questions. If your question is not answered below please reach out to us and we will be happy to assist you.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! We recognize that the cost of therapy is high, so we want to help make it more affordable. We are currently In-Network with Aetna, Cigna, and Healthy Blue (Medicaid) with Sunflower Health Plan and United Healthcare Community Plan (both Medicaid plans) soon to follow. Please reach out to inquire if we currently have any providers who can accept your insurance. We can provide services on an Out-of-Network basis. We'll be happy to walk you through the process of how you can use out-of-network insurance benefits with any of our providers who are not in-network with your insurance provider. Note: we offer affordable private pay rates when we are unable to take your insurance for any reason. Please call for more information about any cost or billing questions.
How much do sessions cost?
Our private pay rates vary per clinician, though most offer a sliding scale to help create affordability for those paying out of their own pocket for therapy. While our primary aim is to pair you with an in-network provider to reduce cost, we understand that this will not always be possible or preferable. If you choose the private pay route for therapy, we are happy to provide you with a Superbill which will allow you to submit for Out-of-Network benefits. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee insurance approval for your out-of-network claims.
How long is a counseling session?
Many of our providers offer counseling sessions lasting 53-60 minutes. However, session duration may vary based on individual needs and therapeutic goals with 45 minute sessions also being popular.
Is counseling confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a crucial aspect of our services. We adhere to strict ethical and legal standards to ensure your privacy.
Do you offer virtual (telehealth) sessions?
Yes, we provide virtual counseling sessions for individuals who prefer or require remote services. These sessions are conducted securely online. Please be aware that it is a legal requirement that you are physically located in a state in which your therapist is licensed in order for virtual sessions to occur.
How often should I attend counseling sessions?
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Your counselor will work with you to determine an appropriate schedule.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Please contact our office as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Our policy is to to charge the full session fee for sessions that are cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours to ensure our providers are compensated fairly for their booked time. We appreciate your consideration of our 24-hour cancellation policy.
How do I know if a counselor is the right fit for me?
We understand the importance of finding the right therapeutic fit. You can explore our team's profiles on our website, and during the initial consultation, you can discuss your preferences with the counselor to ensure a good match. We are committed to finding the best fit for your needs.
What ages do you treat?
We are committed to providing evidence-based care to our community. While we currently offer therapy for clients who are able to participate in talk therapy, we plan to extend our services to young children in the future. Please call for a free consultation so we can help meet your needs.
